Application & Care Guide

Banner Print & Structure

For tradeshows, events, and brand activations

Proper storage and maintenance can dramatically extend the life of your vinyl banner and display structure, helping prevent scratches, bends, creases, and hardware damage while keeping your graphics looking sharp for repeated use.

Before You Store

Clean the banner surface: Gently wipe the banner with a soft cloth and mild soap solution to remove dirt, dust, or residue.

Dry completely: Never store a damp banner. Moisture can lead to mould, mildew, or material breakdown.

Inspect for damage: Check for small tears, loose grommets, bent poles, missing parts, or damaged hardware. Repair or replace parts early to prevent further wear.

Clean the display structure: Wipe poles, frames, stands, or hardware with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and debris before storing.

How to Store Vinyl Banners

Roll, don’t fold: Always roll banners with the print side facing outward to avoid creases, cracking, or permanent fold marks.

Use a core tube: Rolling around a cardboard or PVC tube helps maintain shape and prevents wrinkles.

Protect the surface: Wrap the banner with a soft sheet or store it inside a protective sleeve to avoid scratches.

Avoid tight pressure: Do not stack heavy items on top of stored banners, as this can cause dents, creases, or material distortion.

How to Store the Display Kit

Disassemble carefully: Always guide the banner slowly and carefully when rolling it back into the display kit. Do not let the banner snap, drop, or retract quickly from the top, as this can damage the print, edges, internal mechanism, or display structure.

Keep parts together: Store screws, connectors, caps, bases, and small hardware pieces in a labelled bag or container so nothing gets lost.

Protect fragile pieces: Wrap poles, corners, or frame pieces if needed to prevent scratches, dents, or rubbing during transport.

Use the original bag or case: Whenever possible, store the banner kit in its original carrying case or protective bag to keep the structure safe and organized.

Ideal Storage Conditions

  • Cool, dry environment: Store in a temperature-controlled space (ideally between 10–25°C / 50–77°F).
  • Avoid humidity: Excess moisture can cause mildew and weaken the material.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight: Prolonged UV exposure can fade colors even during storage.

Long-Term Care Tips

  • Rotate usage: If you use multiple banners, rotate them to distribute wear evenly.
  • Unroll periodically: For long-term storage, unroll every few months to prevent material memory or sticking.
  • Transport with care: Use protective tubes or cases when moving banners to avoid bends or abrasions.

Keep Your Investment Looking Ripe!

With the right care, vinyl banners can last for years of repeated use. Following these simple storage practices ensures your message always looks as bold and professional as the day it was printed.
